Cartagena

Cartagena is an ancient Roman city and port in the Murcia region, on the Mediterranean Sea. The coast is called the Costa Cálida. The city is surrounded by a wall with eight gates and boasts a magnificent ancient Roman amphitheater. Its natural harbor is a deep bay where Spain's main naval base is located. Worth seeing are the 13th-century cathedral of Santa Maria Veja and the view from the ruins of the Castillo de la Concepción.

Granada/Mazzaron/Lorca/Murcia
